Isfahan int'l film festival for children launches on rooftop due to pandemic

The Int’l Film Festival for Children and Young Adults is launched on rooftop of a cultural complex in Isfahan due to the pandemic.

The 33rd International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults (ICFF) has been launched on the rooftop of a cultural complex in the central Iranian province of Isfahan due to the pandemic.

The children’s film festival kicked off today on October 18 in an open area and through three online video platforms with no spectators in order to observe the coronavirus-related health protocols.

People living in 500 residential units near to the cultural complex are due to watch online plans of the festival from their balconies or windows.

Concurrently, the inaugural ceremony of the 4th Filmmaking Olympiad for Youth will be held this evening. The Olympiad is part of a program arranged every year on the sidelines of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth. Enthusiasts can watch the festival and Olympiad live at the event’s website.

Running through October 23, the 33rd edition of the Int’l Film Festival for Children and Youth is being held online this year due to a spike in coronavirus.

Organized by the Farabi Cinema Foundation, Cinema Organization of Iran and the Isfahan Municipality, the festival has two national and international sections.
